Amy B.Trachter, Ph.D., Psy.D., is a licensed clinical psychologist. Dr. Trachter's clinical work specializes in the psychosocial treatment of those living with medical illnesses, particularly those living with gastrintestinal illnesses such as Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) and Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). She obtained her Doctor of Philosophy and Doctor of Psychology degrees from Nova Southeastern University. She completed her residency at UMDNJ: Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and did her Fellowship in Behavioral Medicine/Health Psychology at the University of Miami Medical School working recovering substance abusers living with HIV/AIDS.

Dr. Trachter holds a faculty appointment as Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine in the Department of Medicine at the University Of Miami School Of Medicine. Dr. Trachter has published book on Crohn’s disease, several scientific publications, and has been a spokesperson for the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America.
